1, about the flat pad

It shall be used with a spring pad and a flat pad, with the flat pad next to the surface of the machine and the spring pad between the flat pad and the nut.


2. About the spring cushion

Spring washers are widely used in load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures of general mechanical products. They are characterized by low cost, convenient installation and suitable for the parts with frequent assembly and disassembly. But the spring washer has very low loose resistance! Especially in the current European and American countries require high reliability of the product adoption rate is very low, especially the important bearing structure connection parts have been abandoned for many years. There are still some applications in military industry in our country, but they have been improved to stainless steel materials. It is said that steel spring washers have long been banned in CASC! There are two reasons for this: 1 is a "rising circle" and 2 is hydrogen embrittlement.

A spring washer is arranged under the nut to prevent loosening. Spring washers are used to prevent looseness. Flat washers do not prevent looseness. Flat washers only increase the contact area.

Flat pad is just to increase the contact area, the spring pad can prevent loosening, such as the bolt connecting the motor and the machine base generally need to add a spring pad, because the motor vibration if there is no spring pad, the nut will become loose. Generally, the fastener with vibration is equipped with a spring gasket.

The main function of the flat washer is to protect the surface of the connector to prevent the bolt and nut from scratching the surface of the workpiece when tightening; The spring cushion is resistant to loosening. But some important connections, such as mainly rely on the compression of friction force transmission, is not able to use the spring pad, with the reduction of connection rigidity, anti accident prone.

3. About the stop gasket

The stop washer, as the name implies, is used with the nut to prevent the nut from loosening. Generally divided into round nut stop washers, outer tongue stop washers, double ear stop washers, single ear stop washers, etc. Round nut stop washer is mainly used in small round nut locking occasions; Outer tongue stop washers, double lug stop washers and single lug stop washers are all used for locking common nuts.
